When I saw Tali and Garrus at the con, I walked right up to them and said "You guys win. YOU WIN PAX." They actually seemed pretty flattered.

Also, to those of you crushin' on Tali, she unfortunately said she and fake-Shephard are married. :(

Yeah, it's not nearly as cosplay-centric as other shows. Though I will say there were definitely some great ones that weren't in this gallery. Two that spring to mind: that Crimson Viper up there in the SF4 group pic spent most of her time with a friend in a really dead-on Juri costume. And one of the more popular ones was a Taokaka from BlazBlue who stayed completely in character for the WHOLE SHOW.

I have to admit I got a little nerd-crush on both of them.

I guess what we 3D detractors are trying to say (if I can attempt to say it in a less reactionary fashion) is: if some people want to buy 3DTV's and games, cool. Right on. It is fully within your right as consumers to do so.

But what I believe Todd, myself, and many other people feel is that it's being shoved down our throats. The industry (industries?) aren't giving off a feeling of "Hey, maybe you guys might want to check out this 3D thing. No big deal, but it's pretty cool if you're into that."

It feels more like "3D is the next big thing! You need it! Give us more money!! EVERYONE WHO'S COOL IS DOING IT!!!"

@NoTomorrow They also announced on the news ticker on DJ Hero's main menu that Deadmau5 will be one of the new playable DJs. You know what that means... BIG RAD ROBOT MOUSE HEAD.

To be honest, I don't really care about 3D gaming or 3D TV. The only reason for any animosity on my part is that it seems like the electronic companies have decided that we all care.

Apparently, the fact that HDTV is still a relatively new technology for some people (I know several people who still don't have HDTVs) does not deter them from insisting that we all start spending money on the next thing.

Pele. Saying anything else is dumb, and if you say David Beckham you're gay. Even if you're a girl.

I know exactly what you mean. In fact, when I saw the picture up there as I was scrolling through the frontpage, for a split second I thought it was an announcement about a new Freedom Force. Then I realized it wasn't.

Now I'm sad.

I remember I was so excited when I discovered Kate Beaton, Dresden Codak, and Achewood (all at different times, in fact I've been an Achewood fan for years). It was like I was jacked in to this profound amazing thing that no one else knew about. Even when I would recommend these comics to friends they would maybe look at it once and say "that seems neat" and never look at it again.

And then every so often, a post like this comes up and I realize that everybody smart knew about them before I did. Rats.

You know, I've been trying to find good info on how to break into voice acting for years, to no avail. I've written to game magazines and all kind of things, but if they know they sure don't feel like telling.

It's too bad, that's pretty much my dream job too.
