Officially Official: 2011 Ford Fiesta rated at 40 mpg highway

I'll take the absolutely negligible 3 mpg hit in order to enjoy the greater experience that a manual affords. But it is nice to see a non-hybrid car get 40 mpg.

Lutz says Commodore-based Caprice could be sold as "high-end Chevrolet"

Fair enough, but I still doubt that any of that interest equates to actually demand.

Lutz says Commodore-based Caprice could be sold as "high-end Chevrolet"

Jan 14th 2010 7:23PM (Autoblog)
Yeah, let it die. If demand for the G8 was so great, then why didn't it blaze the sales charts? And don't even blame lack of advertising. If you watched football or baseball AT ALL last year, you saw the G8 Spy Hunter commercial 8,000,000 times.

Sure, it's a great car, but people who want a RWD muscle car already own a Camaro or Mustang. Don't even bring up the family-hauling excuse, either. That's why your wife owns a Murano.

Report: GM to shell out $1B to update Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra

It needs to be bigger and stronger. Perhaps it will come standard with a gasoline V10 that has 700 hp. And they can boast that, at 14 mpg, it has segment leading fuel economy. Then, they can make leather seats and wood trim standard, so if you actually do work and get a little dirty, you feel terrible splashing mud on the giant 10" LCD nav screen. Lastly, give it seating for 7 so you can haul around your whole family. Make sure it has a refrigerator and at least two 19" screens in the back.

Yep. A true American work truck.

Ten Las Vegas DMV employees indicted for falsifying emissions tests

My friend had an old car with a broken OBD-II sensor and despite the fact that it ran clean as a whistle, it's now a guard rail somewhere along the NJ Turnpike. What a waste. Especially since they test older cars without the use of computers, but they couldn't just do that.
