@kyphem
"throttle down to 2G speeds?"
Nice hyperbole, apparent-anti-Sprint-fanboy.

@Jack
You speak as if AT&T data networks being overloaded all the time does not have a detrimental effect on its data network performance.

I think proper QoS implementation is a good thing for all Internet users. I expect Sprint to probably do it right considering how well their network is run right now. As of a couple days ago I decided to start saving a hundred dollars a month using my Sprint Palm Pre for tethering at home instead of having DSL -- BitTorrent speeds got up to 200kbyte/s down and 60kbyte/s up, an improvement over the crappy phone lines. This is on 3G, so I can't wait to see 4G deployed here.

nPower's PEG Personal Energy Generator up for pre-order, starts kinetically recharging gadgets in June

@kyphem lmrtfafy:
The nPower® PEG is easy to use!

1. Place the PEG vertically in your backpack, briefcase, or bag.

2. Walk or run. As you move, your PEG captures and stores your kinetic energy. –An otherwise wasted resource.

3. When your phone or other hand-held device needs a boost, simply plug your device into the PEG and press "charge."

Hmm, I wonder if I should take this opportunity to switch my PC game pad over from a Dual Shock 2 with USB adapter to an Xbox 360 wireless controller. It works out of the box with Windows, doesn't it?

That's pretty damn sweet. Sprint doesn't go after people that tether even though it isn't actually permitted, though, so I was already doing it for free :]

Amazon's frustration-free packaging is anything but for hard drives

@electrobrains
... they came packed in a larger box, with padding ABOVE the drives and none UNDER, and each in one of the little unsecured cardboard boxes like in the article's picture...

I have two 2TB WD Caviar Black drives on the way from Amazon, which might arrive today, so I'm a little nervous about it.
