Developer gets Sony's Remote Play working on non-VAIO machines

Jun 18th 2010 9:46PM (Engadget)
Currently getting:
The module "VRPSDK.dll" failed to load.

Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files.

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxtrace.exe tool for more detail.

I was able to register the other .DLL but not this one on my laptop. I have already done this on a desktop PC before the laptop so I know I am doing it properly.

Clearwire sticking with WiMAX until at least 2012

May 11th 2010 1:05AM (Engadget)
I already talked to a clear rep about the EVO. They said more than likely if there was a switch to LTE there would be similar software to upgrade on the EVO allowing it to connect to LTE. At least as far as the clear people understood. This was at a clear launch event in Houston.

Pretty good showing by Intel. Would like to see how the two platforms stack up, however, I foresee the chips excelling in different areas. Only time will tell.
