Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning sets modest PC specs

Jan 10th 2012 2:22AM (Joystiq)
My current (way too outdated) setup can't play this, my CPU is a 2.0ghz pentium dual core, Yet It runs Skyrim like a champ.

12 Days of Joyswag: Battlefield 3 superkit - the game, controller, vault, wall graphics

The fanboy wars are pretty dumb honestly. The Battlefield series has always been about being in a warzone (complete with vehicles, weapon emplacements and capture points) and working with your teammates, while CoD is more focused around arena-style gameplay. Why would I bite into an energy bar and complain about it not being a four course meal?

Need For Speed: The Run trailer shows off the Limited Edition's Porche 911 Carrera S

Pffft. I'd rather see a Porsche in Forza 4. Is this what EA denied Turn 10 sublicensing for? Four different car models for yet another spin-off to their dead horse of a racing series?

COD4 Star Wars mod 'Galactic Warfare' hits final release

@Alphonze

Yep. IW 4.0 is just a modified Quake 3 engine that added a couple graphical upgrades like shaders; Similar to what Tenebrae did to the first quake.

A serious unboxing of Thrustmaster's official GT5 racing wheel

Jan 4th 2011 12:39AM (Joystiq)
@Abriael You forgot to mention their fall from grace around 99-03 when they kept releasing crap peripheral after crap peripheral, like the fragmaster. Sure they have solid HOTAS controllers for PCs, but looking at what they've released in just the race wheels department alone make me skeptical about shelling out that much money for what they offer out of the box. For a hundred bucks less, I can get the Fanatec GT2 clubsport edition, get superior pedals, compatibility with PS3/360/PC, as well as getting a 6+1 and Sequential shifter in the box.

I got some cologne, some socks, the new Cee-Lo Green album, a Homebrew Wii, a bottle of Jameson and a Bottle of Peppermint Schnapps. They will all be incorporated into what I'll be doing the rest of the night >:)

12 Days of Joyswag: Fable 3 rucksack with Collector's Edition, book, and controller

My worst bug I've encountered was while playing a PS2 title called "Primal". I fell through the world, no hacks or anything; I was still in Solum (The first area, but towards the end of it), walking through a town, then a falling animation, grey everywhere, look up and the world is above me.

This looks like a really solid title, I loves me some Platformers.

Joyswag: Halo: Reach 'Legendary Edition' giveaway

I'd definitely pack as many DVDs (or Blu-ray discs) of information as I could- Library of Congress, books, scientific papers, etc. History's just too important to abandon.

Ask Engadget: best note-taking tablet / laptop for under $200?

Jul 15th 2010 11:38PM (Engadget)
@DrBones22

I was just about to suggest a Livescribe pen myself. As Max even states in his question, he's ridiculously unorganized at the moment, so anything more than just the ability to take notes might end up being a distraction, and the minimalist pen+paper+Recorder combo with a modern flourish on it might just keep things minimalist and efficient.
