Kinect bundled with slim 4GB Xbox 360 Arcade for $300, new console for $200 in August

€150? As usual everything for us is overpriced and very expensive, if you think $150 is high, try the $200 I would have to pay.

Scotland fighting to keep Realtime Worlds, other native game developers

If Realtime Worlds comes over to Ireland I'll let them set up in my garden shed, that'll help cut down on their expenses.

Ireland trying to court Realtime Worlds, other Scottish devs with tax holiday

Also I had never even heard of Lucky Charms until I went to Canada last year. We don't have them.

Ireland trying to court Realtime Worlds, other Scottish devs with tax holiday

@ CH3BURASHKA
I'm Irish, from Dublin and there's been tax breaks for every industry in Ireland since the '70s. It entices foreign investment away from other countries in the European Union and has kept us one of the strongest competitors in Europe with one of the strongest economies.
@SylvyLombax
If keeping our economy strong by supporting business and having one of the highest GDPs in the world is backwards then very well. It is because of our tax laws SylvyLombax that we have been strong ecomomically and I guess you don't remember the Celtic Tiger in the '90s but our ecomomic boom is down to business and attracting business. Its tax laws that attract multi nats, such as pharmaceuticals and computer manufacturing.
Yes we hit a bump last year but so did every country on the planet. We are coming out of recession which is more than most other countries can say.
There was word of a games developer setting up just down the street from me about a month ago, never heard who or anything else though, probably just rumour.
And for the note, nobody calls it the emerald isle and we don't drink whiskey much.

Battlefield 1943 players upset over lack of Irish identification [Update]

Jul 30th 2009 10:00AM (Joystiq)
I live in the Republic of Ireland (Dublin) and it shows the tricolour on my profile, I quess I'm just lucky. If other people from the Republic are experiencing a problem with this then that is just ridiculous, the Republic is a separate country and we have nothing to do with Britain. To all those people saying that people in Northern Ireland that want to be identified as Irish arre whinners that is a typical small-minded thing to say. How would you like if I said the Us and Canada were the same country? Calling us wife beaters and drunks is racist and I will take that the same way as if you were mistreating blacks or any other race or ethnic background. If you don't understand the situation don't say stupid things about it. It a matter of pride for Rebuplicans. Britain conquered Ireland and held it unlawfully for hundreds of years until the Republic managed to gain their freedom in the 1920's. Irish people were discriminated and abused in their own country. People in Northern Ireland wanted rights aswell and had to speak out (some sadly with violence) until they got what they deserved. If they live in Northern Ireland they can be identified as Irish or British. It's their choice. Some fool at EA probably looked up a map, without understanding a very delicate situation, and just assigned that region the Union Jack. Not a smart move that better be fixed.
