i think he might be referring to Dark of the Moon. but the thing with that is, it wasn't developed by the team that made WFC, because they were all hard at work on this game. So going by how great WFC was, there's a really good chance this will be as good, and hopefully better.
it's not a joke, it's called a promotion. that's how promotions work; they're to gain new business. where in the post is it unclear that it's for new customers? and you're not out of luck, you're free to buy the game if you like the demo.
@Synner - great attitude pal. look, i make dollar votes whether they're heard or not. also, it's way too easy to find deals that are just as good from places that aren't blatantly, soul-crushingly crooked. i'm stocked up on XBL subscriptions for the next few years, payed under $100 and didn't need walmart to do it.
that's a blanket statement to make. i don't recall Assassins Creed having a demo and that was a fun game that looked and played well. i'm sure there's other examples but off the top of my head right now i can't think of them.
i've seen plenty of video footage already for Borderlands that look awesome, there's a ton of previews that speak well of it, and it's a Diablo-esque FPS with RPG elements. what more do you need to know? i may wait a few days just to read a review, but i'm pretty sure this is a day one purchase for me. all this "is there's no demo the i'm not buying it" talk is a bit surprising.
you know what sold me on picking RF:G up? the multiplayer demo. you know, the demo that for some reason got pulled off of xbox live after eleven days, and only few days after the retail version came out? i'm willing to bet that hurt sales, as i have several friends that went to grab the demo after i told them how good it was, only to find it wasn't there anymore. and there's a solid chance they would have picked up the game after trying the mp demo, as i'm sure many other people would have. i can't figure out the logic in pulling the demo off live, since it's not as if they shut down the demo servers when they did and it was a highly anticipated game.
