@eNriqeu I know that the common PS1 emulators for the PC use this method as it is the easiest way to have a basis for your emulation, however there are various emulators for different platforms that do not require anything from the original console and are built from the ground up. I can't comment on the specific emulator in question here, but it is possible it to was built from scratch to avoid legalities.
Doesn't mean a lawyer will take your case, a court will hear your case if you do get a lawyer, or that the court will find the case in your favour if you do get a lawyer and the court hears it. (Nor that you won't get jail time/large fine for frivolous lawsuits.)
@Ludwig Kietzmann Could get in to the whole "Surely that means no game should ever get 5" (Especially in a genre such as this) thing, but this isn't really the time. I just think that the whole package of presentation, accessibility but also cleverness of puzzles means it would at least get a 4 1/2.
Price gets brought up every time. EU, and later NA PS3s, had SOFTWARE BC. They took it out because they wanted higher PS3 game sales, not because it cost anything. (Hardware BC costs, Software would not.)
