WIND Mobile launches in Canada, T-Mobile gets a spectrum buddy

@Hazdaz

I'm paying about 100 bucks a month (after taxes and fees) for my iPhone data and voice plan with Rogers. My friend pays about 80 a month for his Palm Pre through Bell.

Let's hope that WIND forces the others to lower their data plans. More competition is definitely welcome.

You call that a trailer? Not even a teaser in my opinion.

P.S.
I don't know why Apple won't allow FLASH on iPhone. How many websites use FLASH nowadays? Alot.........Apple could at least come out with something of their own, compatible with FLASH based websites. Absolutely no excuse for this. :-(

I totally agree with you in that regard. Apple is acting like Big Brother when it comes to App approval. I hate that as well. It's no wonder that most of my iPhone friends have Jailbroken units. But as I said, the main reason I bought my iPhone was for the games, music and movies which I constantly use when I'm traveling. I'm not a business person and I just basically wanted a good phone to perform for what I use it for most, a media device. I was just getting tired of carrying around my Zune, PSP and DS at the same time. Just glad that there is now some real competition. :-)

@Ozymandias

Yes I agree with you somewhat, but the iPhone still seems to be the device that most non-techies desire. At least in my world. But I'm liking this new Google phone. I'm also very impressed with HTC's quality. I almost bought the HTC Touch Pro 2 instead of the iPhone 3GS, but I decided on iPhone instead, mostly because I'm a gamer and media whore. LOL. And you have to admit, iPhone has the best choice of games at the moment.

To be honest, I purchased an iPhone for the first time about 3 months ago and I LOVE it. I can't imagine living without it. With that said, it's nice to see that the smartphone market is finally heating up with REAL competition like the Palm Pre, Motorola Droid, Blackberry, and now this new Google phone. Finally, some serious competition with the iPhone. This is good for all consumers. Interesting to see where this market will head in the next few years. I don't know much about Android, but I like what I'm seeing, and of course this should make Apple keep up on their toes. So when is Microsoft coming out with their (Zune) phone? :-)

I may be wrong, but considering Android is made by Google, I would think that it would come FREE with such a device. Not to mention Google's new OS coming out sometime soon.

Just to add my 2 cents worth, I know this device is not the most advanced, obviously. But at under $100 I think we're finally starting to see this type of technology coming to the masses. About time. :-)
