I totally agree, its always the same. Silent Hill is one of my favorite series, especially SH2 since its all about pesonal conflicts. Even personal conflicts, if done right, can be epic. Much props to games like Heavy Rain, Shadow of the Colossus, Limbo for example of shifting the focus onto things alot more easier to relate to. Heck even Final Fantasy 7 was pretty good in the sense of the death of Aerith. I wanted to beat the living hell of out Sephiroth, made it personal in a way.
@eat it I agree, with so many great looking and intuitive interfaces layouts seen in mobile devices, they go with those bubbles. I'd even prefer the old psp interface over the bubbles.
