Does this game take itself pretty seriously? The concept is so ridiculous but it seems so much so that it makes it amazing.

Yes, I own castle Crashers and played the hell out of it.
The term "newgrounds/flash style" doesn't compute unless you're insinuating that every game made in flash has to be hand drawn. I find it hard to say that this game is cel-shaded. It has some cel shaded elements in the background but most of the backgrounds shown in the screenshots look like they are comprised of half baked clip art.

wow, they're even stealing the castle crashers art style quite a bit. Weak.

To clarify I'm a big fan of Pc exclusives but have never been the person to go out of my way and buy a computer based around my gaming habits.People talk about how cheap PC gaming is but no one ever talks about how inconvenient it is. Buying/building a desktop may be cheap, but who buys desktops anymore if you don't need one for professional use or if you're not a hardcore gamer? As much as I could afford a nice gaming rig, I just don't see it as practical. This also gives Valve another market to tap into. I know a lot of Mac users that are mildly into gaming and would probably buy games if they didn't have to spend 300-400 for a dedicated gaming machine. This is good news all around and it's funny to see people try to play this down like it isn't cool or a good idea.

Also, is that last picture with Alyx Vance an Apple reference or is that Valve hinting something from Episode 3?

Not like it really matters... considering everytime you play a multiplayer game you're going to be told you're a homosexual anyways.

I imagine that Activision is gonna go for a Tom Clancy-esque brand with CoD before they drive the series completely into the ground. I imagine the sledgehammer games title will be Activisions version of Splinter Cell.

I have been a big fan of cod since 2 launched but adding small improvements to a pretty dated engine can only get you so far regardless of how smooth the gameplay is. Does Activision not realize how badly they have effed up the Tony Hawk franchise or do they point their fingers completely at Neversoft?

I really hope Glen Schoefield doesn't stick around that long with Activision.. he should be doing more original IP's instead of making games designed in response to shareholder meetings.

I'm amazed that anyone is even questioning if Beard guy is crazy. Vietnam Tom has serious issues and the other dude is just an idiot for egging him on and probably has some problems himself. Get over it and stop feeling guilty about what two bums did on a bus.

Also the only reason this Tom guy was glorified was because of how ridiculous he is...the same reason tay zonday or any other retard on the internet gets popular.
