To be honest, J-stiq is like Yahoo to me before Google came around... I come here for my fix, but the moment I find a better - more professional, shall I add - blog, I'll be gone.
It's all good though, and hopefully this will teach the young staff something about crisis management and how you shouldn't let things escalate when they are obviously f-ed up.
Random question for all you smart people out there:
$600 at launch probably means they're leaving a few players in the US, Japan and Europe out of the equation.
A $600 price tag means they're leaving a LOT of people out of the equation anywhere in the world - trust me, I know people who don't make that much money in 6 months.
How much can they achieve in economies to scale to lower the price of the console to a reasonable price, where it REALLY is accessible to the mass market?
You guys remember how long it took the Xbox to drop in price? I cant remember but might be a good benchmark (timewise) to see how long it might take the PS3 to reach some decent pricing levels.
They're not trying to replicate real life - by any means. Nothing can replicate real life but real life. Even advanced NASA simulators are just that, SIMULATORS.
The control tries to enhance the gaming experience by using new movements, new 'buttons' that before didn't exist.
Yes it might looked dumb'd down, yes the movements don't replicate throwing a ball... but neither does our 360.
I'm glad somebody has the balls to do something different at last.... To comprehend the Wii, just look back at what happened when the ugly, childish, brickish looking DS came out, and think of what you thought then comparing it to the PSP, and that'll more less get you to where Nintendo will be with their new system in a few months time.
An apology, and a note on hype
