In REAL (as in: money in developers/publishers bank accounts) terms, selling 50% more copies on 360 means that 50% more revenue came from the 360 version.
Granted, Schappert's line about games "playing better on 360," is pure PR/Marketing horseplop. But what you've spouted here is just fucking insane.
Wasn't "This is living" a Weight Watchers marketing slogan back in the '80s? I seem to remember Lynn Redgrave throwing her arms up in the air, yelling, "Weight Watchers! This is living!" Just the teensiest bit ironic considering how bloated the PS3 is.
