Well, why not produce it for PC first then and see how it takes off (like Crysis)? PC platform honestly shouldnt be limited by this unless they want to make a game with Google Map (which I think should still be doable, but will take a long time). They could just make the game enjoyable and packaged properly for today's hardware, and either do sequels or expansion packs/DLCs for additional contents.
Oh wait, this is Ubisoft. Yeah, forget putting it on PC first then...
@FakeKevinButler Well, if you couple that with the $50 coupon, I guess that evens out. You got one free (more or less, just pay tax) PC game, and buy one more game of any kind, and you can get one three games.
@PR0F3TA I cant and wont change your mind on whom you hate, that is your business. What I dont like is you bitching on every thread comments about PC gamers or PC gaming in general just because there are some of the fellow gamers (unfortunately pc users) that mention something like a fact or sound condescending enough (even though some of them are, like you said, a fact) and you just cant take it. You can say it in a nice way, but you chose to be rude.
If there is someone new at pc gaming and sounded condescending, wouldnt it be better for you to be the better one and point out why they shouldnt do that instead of raging? I just dont get it. If you said you used to game on PC and now you are ashamed of it, really, its a shame. After all, you already knew the history of pc games and how nowadays pc users dont get that much love.
PC gamers unite for something is not them being 'needy' or self centered, but because there is a real issue to be had. Most of these always-on DRM, copy protection, bad ports, etc are real problems that pc users have. You think we should just stay quiet and suck it up? How would the devs know if nobody gave comments (just like DX:HR long load times, which the dev quickly patched the other day). I mean, coming from pc gaming, I just think that you should know better.
You should already know that it is hard to test all pc environments compared to the closed and static environment of consoles, thus more problems to be had after release. Your attitude definitely is not helping new pc users into gaming (even when they are just learning about the specifications and technicality of a computer). If you are into "I just want to play a game that works", then I wouldnt blame you and console is the way to go.
In the end, I usually am lurking around and overall be friendly, but I just have to say that I think it is you who needs to grow up. Not everyone is a PC elitist dick. Even those who are proud with their pc might sound like it, but they arent, if you understand what I'm saying. If you want me to label you, then yeah, you are an immature hater/troll that can appreciate other people's opinion, and its a shame, considering, again, that we are all fellow gamers here.
@singleandlovinit Well well, for Oblivion, you can see the total conversion sections which will change the whole thing that you know about the game. Check out Nehrim and the Middle Earth project.
Mods could also be collection of other smaller mods to tweak the game, weapons, faces, like you said, but this would actually will breathe new life into the game (check the New Vegas ENB and the graphical tweak projects)
All I'm saying is, you couldnt be more wrong in your statement.
I think this might be the best action RPG game announcement ever since Diablo 2 :)
I will happily pay this game and maybe 2 others (for the total price of $60) so that I can play (via LAN) with my friends or offline by myself and probably still going to have as much fun as playing Diablo 3.
Geez, i was just about to preorder my pc version from Gamestop a while back but I decided not to and got my copy (cd-key) from someplace else instead...
Thats messed up, though. Feel like cancelling my preorder for Uncharted 3 and just buy it from Amazon instead. Maybe I'll do that today!
