@SThompson If that is what you think about those who usually play remotely without reliable internet connections (airports, on the road, abroad, stationed, etc), then alright. Someone said that it will be good if that even though you have the requirement, you can be open minded about what other people are dealing with. If you are planning to play with your friends who are one of the categories I mentioned above, surely you will understand what the situation is, unless you think everyone who doesnt want to go online are pirates.
And no, Diablo 2 is definitely not a MULTIPLAYER HEAVY game. It surely isnt like Guild Wars, thats for sure. All my memories playing Diablo games are mostly single player experience. Not until we have LAN do we ever play it multiplayer. The only multiplayer session i ever remembered was when I was paired with this guy and the first thing he did after we connected (via Battle.NET) was kill me and got my ears and loot, then logged off. Never want to play Diablo online again since then.
@Quayle Somebody is going to be very very happy once the hackers and cheaters found their way online. Although, until then, you can say that.
I'd rather actually play the game with only people that I know of (aka friends). That seems to be the best anti cheat measures that I can think of, but then again they wont allow LAN so oh well...
So far this news has successfully make me not wantig to buy the game. Torchlight 2 for me I guess....
@aea0a095 I think the best way to go about doing this is to build from the ground up, so test on the weakest system first to decide which system you want this game to run (aka very bare minimum requirement), then build up. That way, you can optimize and build the game in one go instead of building with the top machine and try see if crappy machine cant run it, then optimize.
Sorry to add: Civilization series (well not that exclusive anymore though), SimCity series, Settlers series, Stronghold series, Total War series, Command and Conquer series (almost), Anno series, Warhammer series, Men of War series, and Company of Heroes series, Serious Sam series.
Mostly strategy games or city building games or any games that require squad controls/selection will most probably be PC exclusive and will stay that for a while until console actually allows mouse and keyboard (maybe, but I dont see that happening or becoming a trend).
But then again, FPS and PC exclusive is actually a rarity nowadays.
@Faceless Troll It is not a good thing then? Hitman isnt supposed to be conviction...
I'm a bit disappointed with the preview. Someone already said that Hitman game is all about being stealthy and killing your mark. He didnt go out and kill random people and also cops (although it is up to the player's choice).
Leaps out of a blown out wall and pursued by helicopters? Come on...
I am hoping on this premise as well..I'd really like a single player experience for Star Wars galaxy too and I hope one day there will be a KOTOR 3 proper and not MMO-ed.
That was a nice trailer, albeit a bit seizure inducing.. I agree with Anarqi, I really hope they make it somewhat open world so the gameplay time can be extended.

Battlefield 3 adds co-op campaign, platoons, going prone, mountable weapons and more
Jun 3rd 2011 3:38PM (Joystiq)The 'purchase more' portion is what I think the -1 came from, compared to all the modes and features that will come with BF3.
Stop being so defensive.
