God, some of you are such whiny kids. Mullet comment - seriously? Are we still doing this? Introducing squeaks and rattles, ruining the car? So what does a convertible do?
Fact is, this is an alternative to having a convertible, and a very good one. When the tops are in, it acts like a hardtop with all of those benefits. When you want a lot more air to come in, convertible-style (and a lot more than a sunroof), you have the option without having to worry about a small back window, taking extra care of the top, it bubbling up, etc. Have any of you naysayers actually OWNED a t-top car? Obviously not. Notice that everyone that has loves them. I've owned 3 t-top Camaros (all 4th gens) and I absolutely love them. I never get any leaks and it doesn't cause extra rattles. In fact, one of my current cars is a customized 98 Camaro Z28 with t-tops and I absolutely love it. One of the only downfalls of the 5th gen Camaro to me is that it doesn't have the option. I don't want to give that up. Personally, I'd much rather have t-tops or targa top than a convertible with a soft top. The only thing nicer is a retractable hard top but that costs a good bit of money and adds a lot of weight.
