Fake Wii "news" allegedly pulled from trash bin [update 1]

Aug 28th 2006 1:24AM (Joystiq)
I am leaning towards a hoax on this Nintendo announcement, but I think the time and effort by whoever produced this documnet is really great. It is well written and thought out, if it is indeed a hoax.

Nintendo's PAX booth tour

Aug 28th 2006 1:18AM (Engadget)
I really like those dual screen lcd displays! It's a nice feature, especially when looking over someone else's shoulder in a crowded convention room, trying to see what the video game is like.

NY Times: Game stigma is industry's fault

Aug 15th 2006 3:13PM (Joystiq)
The video game industry has really had a negative image for a long time. From the stigma of arcades being havens for young slackers to the realistic violence and gore of today's games, they have a lot to still overcome. But, gaming is beginning to come out to the mainstream, and that's good news for all involved.

Pac-Man wakka wakka wakkas XBLA

Aug 9th 2006 3:13PM (Joystiq)
I agree Ms. PacMan is far superior and way more enjoyable to play than the original. With the scoring system and artwork, this seems to be an ok deal, but there are plentry of places to play pacman for free.

Nintendo denies Space World, speculates on Mario at launch

Aug 8th 2006 12:57PM (Joystiq)
Looking forward to Mario at launch, and would also love to see Zelda as well. Agreed that Nintendo must have a great launch, but more importantly, a hot second wave of titles that keep the platform from getting put in the closet, so to speak.

PS3 needs adapter for PS2 memory cards?

Aug 7th 2006 12:53PM (Engadget)
Love the photo of the PS3, makes it look absolutely enormous! Nice one, Engadget!

iChat Mobile: is it the iPhone (part forty bajillion)?

Aug 4th 2006 4:46PM (Engadget)
I really would love to see Apple come out with a phone, though I think this isn't it. I've had a bunch of cell phones in my life, and honestly never liked to use any of them. Bring it on, Apple!

Street Fighter II shoryukens XBLA Wednesdays

Aug 2nd 2006 5:33PM (Joystiq)
Pure joy on this one. Spent way too many quarters on the arcade machine back in the day. XBLA works great for me. Go Blanka and E Honda!

Microsoft planning Xbox 360 price cuts?

Jul 31st 2006 2:57PM (Engadget)
I don't see the 360 core system going down to $199, but a $249 price might get a nice amount of people to pony up, especially if they did it a month or two before the Wii & PS3 are released. It's a tough call for them, they have the head start, but not the killer app yet.

Zune: what we know, think we know, and don't yet know

Jul 23rd 2006 3:10AM (Engadget)
I really like the idea of WiFi sharing of your music. It would be pretty cool to share what you're listening to with other people. But I'm just wondering if this is just too little too late. I thought Bill G. stated your cell phone was the next new music device? Oh well, here's to competition and innovation. Good luck, MS.
