@F1shBone Hear, hear! Practically the only decent platformers on the system have been XBLA remakes (BK, BK2, Rayman 3...). Even B-K: Nuts & Bolts, while fun, wasn't really a platformer. It's very upsetting.
BTW, I really recommend checking out "de Blob 2"! Come to think of it, there are a lot of parallels between de Blob and Epic Mickey: both Wii-exclusive paint-based games with non-exclusive sequels...
@Uncommon Microsoft seems to be willing to bend the rules on Achievements for the right games, anyway. (Well, what THEY consider the right games, at least.) Perfect Dark XBLA launched with more than the normal number of achievements, Hasbro Family Game Night had more than 200 gamerscore years ago, and the fantastic Pinball FX2 has extended its achievement list every time it adds a table... and it's up to 28 tables!
@ShivanSwordsman The main character in FFXIII-2 is a woman and the narrator (and driver of the plot) is her sister, who was also the strongest character in FFXIII. Your stereotype of JRPG women is a bit outdated, in Final Fantasy at least.
Personally, I thought FFXIII's plot was quite good, though you had to pay close attention (and read the synopses) to really understand what was going on. That's part of the hazard of building a world not based on standard fantasy archetypes; Skyrim didn't have to spend any time explaining what a dragon, mage, or werewolf is...
The most hilarious example I've seen was when COPULATE was the anagrammed word. One of the people I was playing with figured it out, but the game wouldn't let him enter it. But when the round ended, it was explicitly listed as the anagrammed word!

@(Unverified) Yeah, and when I tried it at E3, holding the device normally meant my fingers were already against the touchscreen, setting it off. I had to adjust my grip for segments where it was used, and it wasn't very comfortable. I'm pretty skeptical it'll be anything more than an awkward gimmick that games feel obligated to make use of... and I get enough of that with Nintendo systems. >_
The game isn't controlled completely using the A button; that's the reason the green-eyed ghosts kept getting you. IIRC you had to push Z or something for those. :)
