These people just want attention. I feel like I'm the only one here who gets this.
Some people are genuinely mean, but most of these are clearly people trying to be funny or outrageous. I'm not saying that it is right or that it makes sense, but that's what it is. By reading their gamertags and playing their messages, these guys are only perpetuating the type of rude behavior they hate so much.
Pay attention. The ONLY way to reduce flaming/flamebait on Live, on the Internet, or anywhere is to IGNORE it. Anything else is fuel for the fire.
