You know what? It's hard to feel bad for Nintendo in this situation. They consistently have proven this generation of consoles that their bottom line is far more important than the gaming experience, and as such, everyone in the gaming community has turned their back on them. And now with the flop of the 3DS and the weak reception to the Wii U, it's showing just how much Nintendo's success last generation actually was successful.

I've been the leader of the "going the way of Sega" camp the last few years, and I maintain it's going to happen a lot sooner than people think. I don't care how profitable a company has been in the past, you just don't weather a 1 billion dollar loss, especially considering Nintendo isn't as big as people think. And you know what? if Nintendo did go third party, I'd celebrate. Good riddance to the company that has held the industry back for the past 10 years

Haha, thankfully, I know some people and will be able to obtain an unlimited data plan. I always get what I want...I got 8 people fired to get my 64GB White iPhone 4S!

Tip for anyone who wants to do this with Zelda:

Go in tomorrow, buy two games, the first you want to keep, the second doesn't matter but is cheaper. Then, the next day, exchange the game you don't want for Zelda. Easy!

It's not because I want to see Nintendo's games on another system at all. Honestly? I just want to see them suffer. I don't like the company, and never have. I grew up on the Atari and PC, and only jumped to consoles with the PlayStation. And previously, I had nothing against Nintendo. That was until they decided to bog down the hobby I love with their casual bullshit, that, like it or not, has taken a huge toll on the industry. And honestly, right now I'M LOVING the fact that they're failing horribly with everything they do. And honestly? I think every gamer with an IQ higher than 50, doesn't still live with their parents, and has a full set of dropped testicles wants them to. In other words, not a Nintendo fanboy.

Some of you are going to downvote this and call me an asshole. Well, you're right, I am, and proud to be one. But on the day that Iwata makes his slow, somber walk to the podium to announce Nintendo's third party future, maybe he'll come to regret how his company nearly killed gamers...before the real gamers rolled up and killed it.

Without question, the best article I've ever read on Joystiq. They couldn't have hit the nail on the head harder if they hit it with a sledgehammer.

Quite frankly, I don't see how Nintendo will make it through another year without going the way of Sega. In fact, the only people who don't think so are the Nintendo-loving nerds who continue to hold fast to their memories of long days and nights alone playing Zelda and Mario. These people have also never felt the touch of a woman.

The fact is, losing 1 BILLION dollars is huge for a company like Nintendo, who can't nearly weather the losses that their competition can. Unless Iwata, Miyamoto, Reggie and company pull their heads out of their asses and stop pretending the company is not in SEVERE jeopardy, we'll all be playing the next Mario on our Playstations, Xboxes, and iPhones A LOT sooner than we expect.

Once again proving that Apple has the best platform for handheld gaming.

And of course, all that content is going to need a need a stronger, more capable plat....
