About Bioshock, you're not told that you're going to eventually have more ADAM for saving them all instead of harvesting them. You're only aware that there are no penalties for choosing the morally right option in hindsight and only if you rescue every one of them.

I don't see what makes New Vegas a perfect example of making choices matter. A game where the morality works on the magically omnipotent karma system or with magical spies that know things they couldn't possibly know. It's not so different from most of the other games you mention and I'd say Mass Effect is at least as good at making choices matter if not superior.

It was extremely disappointing how little there was to actually do in the latter half of the game. It was obviously rushed. If you can let your mind twist that around and somehow make it a positive then whatever, more power to you.

Like if someone through a bunch of bean burritos into a bear cave.
