Assassin's Creed II PC specs, date revealed

Jan 25th 2010 7:11PM (Joystiq)
IMO it's about time PC gamers had to feel that extra $10 pinch. If consoles have licensing fees to deal with, then the PC price point can be justified saying it's a riskier investment due to the fact it'll be pirated so much more than the console versions will.

Dragon Age 'Return to Ostagar' DLC delayed one day before release

Jan 5th 2010 5:12AM (Joystiq)
(generic rambling about how the entire thing is a conspiracy to milk money out of people and how corporations are evil and how someone from EA is sitting here with a gun to my head forcing me to buy any Dragon Age content that creeps up on Live)

Instead, I think I'll buy it and enjoy it. I waste more than $5 on trivial things like soft drinks, etc.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2's first DLC character is another Spider-Man

You're whining about Spider-Man when we have how many mutants on the roster, again?

At least it wasn't another one of them.

Bethesda clarifies MMO claims, Elder Scrolls V statements

Aug 18th 2009 8:56AM (Joystiq)
- Fast travel is completely optional.
- The compass I might agree with, but it would be an easy disable option in the menu.
- Morrowind had random loot, too. A lot of it. It's just that there were instances of placed loot, so you could find that Daedric Claymore in Ruin X every single time.

Really, I think the next ES game will be a lot like Fallout 3 was. Leveled enemies, but not everywhere, and not all with uber equipment, and more reason to explore places unlike Oblivion, where everything was random loot.

Elder Scrolls V not in the works, there's a 'chance' for Elder Scrolls MMO

Also, Bethesda is not going to be developing an MMO any time soon. However, another very separate division under their parent company is focused on developing MMOs.

Elder Scrolls V not in the works, there's a 'chance' for Elder Scrolls MMO

Aug 15th 2009 11:17AM (Joystiq)
Yeargh. Okay, Joystiq guys. I know you have to report this, but you need to take a long look at Bethesda's history of denying things. Literally everything they've denied has been released.

There was no ES game in development. Four months later they reveal Oblivion.
Knights of the Nine did not exist in September 06. It was released in November.
There were no plans for a "play after it ends" patch for Fallout 3.
Then there were only going to be three DLCs. Surprise, Point Lookout magically appears.

New ad campaign attempts to discourage use of 'gay' as disparagement

Aug 13th 2009 10:20AM (Joystiq)
I have no sympathy. Especially considering they hijacked a legitimate word to use to define members of a deviant sexual orientation in the first place.
