@stemu2000 Actually the coloring isn't required. There are several examples out there where the tags are converted to grayscale and they work perfectly.

@smallmj That's not really a Froyo feature insomuch as it is a device feature. Several Android devices already have that capability. What remains to be seen is if the Froyo release for the N1 will have that additional feature.

@NewL Never mind that when IE6 was released, everyone was rejoicing. It just hadn't been updated in so long, and users weren't adopting more standards compliant browsers on their own... that has little or nothing to do with Microsoft.

@Dale P The modern way to do that is to use a VM. Microsoft even makes VM images available with IE6 already in it... although I haven't used them in a year so I don't know if the freely published ones are still being updated. Either way, keeping IE6 on a machine for development work, and keeping IE6 on a machine that you actually use for surfing the web etc are two completely different things.

@jonathanyaniv I had mine this morning. I emphasize had because I already sold it to someone else and promptly ordered another. *sigh*

For me, the bottom line is this. I've had a G1 since last decade (I know, the decade doesn't really start until next year), and I use it as a developer device... hard to keep it in a working state if I also want to make calls. I'm on T-Mobile, so Droid doesn't work for me, and this has a few advantages over it in terms of the screen, network, and processor. This seems like the perfect device for me to move to tomorrow (literally). The sticking points in the review aren't completely sticking points for me. YMMV.

@chaoscentral Well, for those of us that know, it is something we overlook in reviews... but unfortunately we're also the ones to do something about it. The average user will pick up the device and say... bleh, "No multitouch," if it isn't in the stock apps.
