You never know until you've eaten one.

Verizon confirms DROID tethering cost, will ask subscribers to double-down on their data plan

Nov 6th 2009 9:20AM (Engadget Mobile)
My old WinMo device tethered without VZW's application. They never appeared to catch on, and i never got charged the tethering fee. Only used it about once a month, maybe once every two months. Each time i used it, however, it was invaluable.

According to my VZW rep, the 5GB limit "only applies to tethering." Personally, i think it should be either a data limit when tethering, OR you pay extra for it. Of course, from the company that's about to double their ETF, i don't know what else i would expect.

HTC HD2 (aka, Leo) launching on O2 UK October 12th?

...And then it'll be in the US on the 13th, right? Please?

I am being forced to change contracts "sometime in october". Can't decide whose TP2 i want (answer: HTC Leo on V, AT&T, or Sprint).

Kopin's Golden-i wearable microdisplay demoed, Francisco Scaramanga unavailable for comment

Agreed. Personally, i support the idea of the ugly device that attaches to a remote display (watch, glasses) and remote audio (normal earpiece or headphones). That way the device can be completely performance and utility, the support structure is the interface. That or nokia's Morph thought experiment.

Is Verizon data down for you?

Aug 14th 2009 8:38AM (Engadget Mobile)
VZW data was down for me all last night. Unfortunate, because i was trying to use me some google maps to get someplace. All is working now.

Cincinnati OH, specifically.
