$60/month for data? Where the hell did you get that info...it's $30 for data per month. Define "they" please...I have wifi available at home and at Starbucks. All other wifi access points are private or secured. To be honest, if you want a device to use as a smartphone without actually using it as a smartphone (always connected telephony and Internet device), get a PDA.

Could always go with Walmarts Straigt Talk...$45/month for unlimited everything, Verizons nationwide coverage and 3G, and you can (for now) activate and use any Verizon phone (instead of the pathetic 3 they offer).

It's a limit of CDMA...the upside is, even with 0 bars, you can still make a perfectly clear call on a CDMA network. Not so much on a GSM network.

Sorry guys, must've been high on CAT6 dust (been wiring all day)! The Snapdragon combines the GPU and CPU to come up with the 1GHz mark, why can't phones with dedicated CPU and GPU do the same? It's just numbers in the end...doesn't matter. Like a 3GHz P4 vs a 2GHz Core Solo.

The Moto Sholes is 1030MHz (a WHOLE 6MHz above the 1GHz mark!). Most phones (Snapdragon for ex.) combine the GPU and CPU, the Sholes has a dedicated 600MHz CPU and a dedicated 430MHz GPU.
