call it what it is, this isnt made to fight piracy its a direct attack on used game sales. if we as gamers dont do something about this soon all games will have this requirement. those of you who plan on renting will still need the code which will defeat the point of renting in my opinion. renting is a way to tell if the game is worth the $60 they want us to pay and if you can beat it in 5 days was it really worth the full retail price? wow a sneak attack on rental service too unless you dont mind paying $7 - $8 to rent the game and then $10 to fully use it. two birds with one stone, good throw sony.

@DMY what happened to the system is the foolish need for games to have dlc. xbox owners wouldn't buy the games if there was no dlc. then ps3 owners started crying like idiot babies about not having any dlc stuff not realizing that we have frickin bluray disc and that stuff would already be on the disc. companies saw that there were more idiots with ps3s than they thought so now we get charged extra for stuff that even if they doubled the game data for 360 game disc and added all of the dlc we'd still have plenty of unused room on the bluray disc. heres two different source articles.

online component doesnt make the game, its just something extra to do when i get bored or finish the game. not every game needs online and no i dont count those leaderboard keepers as an online component but im sure microsoft does

look if you dont care about your children why should i? i have three kids under the age of 10 living with me and i agree with the ruling, its not their job to tell my kid he/she cant play a M rated game, thats my job and i do it. my kids have not played any game at home that i dont think they should be playing because I'M the one who has a job to buy their games so i can say "no your not play a lame baby game like elmo but yes you can play street fighter and no you a cant play call of duty". so really if you have a problem with this verdict then you have some choices to make
1. you can give your kids up for adoption (it wont help them any but you wont have to worry about this law any more)
2. be a good parent and do your job, look at what your kids are playing and look at what your buying them, then (this is the important part) choose whether or not you think your kids is mentally ready to play that game that you are purchasing.
the govt doesnt want to be your kids parent theyre too busy with other stupid parents who dont know when not to drive after drinking among other things, and the business' dont want to be parents either

the eu store is heaven if you compare it to the chinese ps store. their free games are horribly old the newest choice they have is wipeout hd

its not whatever songs you want. its random songs of what ever genre you pick and none of them are current, like the last year current or popular. yea your artist is there but none of the hit songs. and if you search for the song you want you only get 30 seconds to listen to it before it stops or moves on the next song. so pretty much its just a radio that you can skip to the next song with. its a waste of time if you have no plans on buying the premium service. i wanted to hear some church songs, too bad for me there no church channel to listen to so i cant even be tempted to upgrade cause all i get is 30 seconds of each song for 6 months. thanks sony this is a useful as those free games i already own that you are giving away

i love my ps3 but will only play this on my pc. keyboard and mouse support on the ps3 has sucked when its actually available, mainly because the keyboard is still set to the boundaries of a controller and i cant do the things i want like on a pc so rather than limit myself to that i'll get the pc version. now if they say the k&m will work exactly like on a pc but on my ps3 then i might get on ps3 but till they show me im going pc.
