Now can we have a lush, visually stunning, immersive game that isn't an FPS? The Kinect has such amazing possibilities for adventure/exploration type games. Remember when Myst 4 came out? The big deal was the depth of field graphics, and that you had to imitate actual hand motions to play- translate something like that to the Kinect, please? That's the sort of synthetic tourism I want.
I know diddily-squat about Gamecock. Never played anything by them, know nothing about their 'antics'. Doesn't matter if their games were the suckiest in the history of the universe. None of their vendors deserve to be shafted like this by the buyout, Cyan Worlds least of all.
You can bet that the Cyan Worlds fans have heard about this now, and that Southpeak is going to have virtual torches and pitchforks at their door.
This is the group of fans that got a publisher-killed game up and running for 3 years on their own, and Cyan being stiffed has roadblocked the Open Source Myst Online effort. You don't get in the way of these people and their Cavern :)
