If i remember corrctly (from the last time DisplayPort made the news), the main reason for DisplayPort is money.

It's a open VESA standard = no royalties.

Manufacturers have to pay license fees on each item sold with an HDMI connection.

Does the video have to be visible on the front page? The flash player starts streaming the video (using bandwidth), regardless of wheather i choose to play the video or not.
