Maybe the less than stellar sales were because that expanded market would have had to spend several hundred dollars on a game console, the game itself, and the instruments.

I actually think the assumption that gamers will go see it regardless isn't true. There have been so many horrible game-to-movie adaptations that most fans are pretty cynical about it now.

If it's a good movie on its own terms and the reviews are decent, then they'll go out and see it it. But if not they'll just ignore it, or rent it to laugh at. The plots of the Gears of War games themselves are pretty threadbare, but I like the idea of seeing that world just before and just after everything goes to hell.

Yeah, ET always freaked me out as a kid. I think it was the scenes with the men in radiation suits or whatever you call them. I've talked to a several other people who said they hated that movie because of something weird and intangible that freak them out. Wonder if Spielberg is aware of people having those kinds of feelings about it.

I like the idea of this feature, but you didn't really give a good explanation of why you stopped playing other than to say that it was frustrating. I thought the IGN review did a much better job of explaining the faults of the game, and I think if you had that amount of detail, or least more than you had in this article, this would be a more worthwhile feature.

Well, that doesn't rule out that you won't be able to export the songs to the hard drive so you can play them in Rock Band 2. Still disappointing though.

I will buy a PS3 for this game

On one hand, I'd love to see more of Veronica Mars.

On the other hand, I'm not sure what sort of story could be made to make movie worthwhile. Serenity had revealed the answers to tons of questions that permeated the show Firefly. Veronica Mars has a few niggling threads hanging at the end of the third season, but nothing worthy of a feature film.

I guess I'd rather not have a movie at all, rather than have one that feels tacked on or simply an extended episode.

Anyone else think that this may have had some of the finest music of the whole series?
