@mtnmedic I knew of the $30 fee back on May 12th when Engadget reported it. It was the only feature I was really stoked about, but as soon as I saw the fee, it was no EVO for me.

To all those saying "WHY DOESN'T APPLE PUT THE ANTENNA ON THE TOP OF THE CASE". They can't do that because of the FCC's SAR (Specific Absorption Rate). Basically, there's a limit on how much RF energy can be emitted next to a user's head. Because of this, most cell phone manufacturers put the antenna on the bottom so that they comply with this regulation. Read about it for yourself here:
