Does it support controllers now?

Last time I played this it was impossible to drive around with mouse and keyboard. It's fine for walking and shooting, but you need analog controls to drive a car, IMO.

If they added controller support, I think a lot of people would give it a try again, but as of now it's not really playable. Nice concept though...

Does anyone know if there are also more game modes unlocked now? I'm tired of playing the same mode (Acquisition?) all the time. I wanna see a 256 player battle.

And of course the timing couldn't be any worse, now that the new CoD is out. I'm really torn, because both games are very different, but great in their own regard. Two great games, not enough time to play both.

It's definitely way overdue.

But here's a tip in the meantime. If you're close enough to your friends to share your personal email, you can use services like gchat, msn, skype, etc. for voice chat. Of course that means you need to have your laptop next to you while playing. But, if you have a webcam too, you can also see each other, which is totally awesome. I doubt the update will also include video chat while playing games.

Been doing this for a while now, and if you have the means, it's definitely the way to go.

Now I see why the blocked Hulu in the browser: So they can charge us to watch otherwise FREE content.

You said it. Meanwhile nobody will buy their sequels, because they can't even get their current titles running without bugs: PS3 voice chat is broken and Xbox players can't even connect a lot of times.

BF1943 is a great game, but these remaining issues don't really make me look forward to more half-baked sequels.

Wow, there's a MOUSE too!!! Isn't that going to give people an unfair advantage? A mouse is faaaaar more precise than any controller player could ever be.

I played the demo and I'm having a hard time believing that THIS is the best game of 2009 thus far.

universal game launching: So is that like the Xbox live party system, where the voice chat carries over to games? Now that would be nice.

Because we're spoiled now. We just want to push buttons while vegetating on our couch.
