@Viglin I admit that I really enjoyed the application of real-time action combat to what would have otherwise been an a pretty average action RPG. It wasn't just the actual voice-acting that grated on me though (seriously though - the faux scottish accents were shocking) but the way that conversation have been handled in general. It reminded me of the old Morrowind system, where you feel compelled to click through an endlessly growing list of words to hear the same boring responses.
I guess if I can keep my OCD in check to ignore all that stuff and if they really have fixed the voice-acting I might consider this something I can pick up in a few months if I ever run out of other RPGs to play. But with ME3 and Witcher 2 round the corner, and SWTOR and Skyrim still on the boil I very much doubt it.... the marketplace is too crowded for a game like this to be worth my time...
All I have here is wireless controllers though. They communicate with the console via wirelessly. All the USB does is charge/power it. Is it the same with PS3 Dualshock/Sixaxis? Could I maybe use those?
Yeah I'm aware it's a popular option, I just don't have a wired 360 controller, so it makes the game an even more expensive proposition. How much is a wireless receiver?
I loved the first game so I'll definitely get to this. ATM though I'm pretty much snowed under with games so am happy to wait for the 360 version....
I am happy to wait for this game to come out on Xbox 360. I'm too lazy* to upgrade my PC. I could probably get it running on my PC, but life's too short to be arsing about trying to get the right balance of detail, shadows, HDR etc. It just does my head in.
And I'm hearing from multiple sources that the new combat system is better with a controller...
