Happy Birthday to me! This comes out on my birthday, so maybe I'll treat myself to a day 1 purchase. I haven't bought a pokemon game in a while, but I LOVE tactic games.
It seems like a good project to support, but they didn't give much incentive to do so... They only allowed for 60 pledgers to receive books, from $30 to $100. Receiving the finished product is surely the biggest incentive to fund a project, and at this point, any pledge under $250 for that project gets little more than a shout out. Unfortunately, this project will probably go unfunded this time around, but hopefully they'll learn from their mistakes and try again.
@TraceurRyuk Part III If titles made by well known studios that can get the press and page views is all you want, sure, but good luck getting decent funding without any name recognition, indie devs.
I find that hard to believe, because I'm sure there are people out there who have dug through the code of that game, especially with the modding that goes on within the community...
@The Cole Train "Portal 2 took place in an earlier, happier Aperture"
It had a different protagonist and antagonist from the original Portal. It would have introduced Aperture during the era of Cave Johnson, as opposed to after the events of Portal. In other words, the game would have been set in the past as a prequel, rather than a sequel.
@CoconutSkittle Ya, I keep hearing about the F-stop mechanic that was going to be at the center of the game, but I've never heard what it was. I imagine it will be used in whatever title is developed by that team next.
