my father-in-law has somehow had clearwire for over a year in midland perhaps as some sort of secret test market on it's modest 100k population, but in the past few months he says his connection speeds have dipped into crawls reminiscent of dial-up. another friend of mine has clearwire here in portland, so i'm keeping an eye on him. but, for the meantime i'm content with comcast whose recent speed tests read between 15 and 20 mbps and i continue writing my congressmen in fears of data caps.
