Reminder: Another Mario pumpkin that should win Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles

Oct 29th 2007 1:28AM (Joystiq)
My thoughts as well. This is terrific work, but I can't help but say that the point of carving a pumpkin is to actually cut out pieces. The way this is handled, there's no significance to using a pumpkin - it might as well be a "soft pumpkin-shaped rock."

My vote is still for Wario.

Seriously, are you guys joking? Don't you dare condone what those sickening developers are doing by spending money on their games.
See here unless you are insane:

Metareview update: Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (Xbox 360, DS, PSP)

Oct 20th 2007 5:51PM (Joystiq)
Do yourselves a favor and buy this game immediately. It was easily worth the 30$ for the DS version, so I can't imagine skipping a higher res, online enabled version. The only reason I won't be getting it is that I already have the DS game, although somewhere down the road i might pick this one up, too.

G4 gets LOST, network execs miss obvious joke

Oct 17th 2007 11:03AM (Joystiq)
Man I forgot all about AD. I don't think they show it anymore, but it was the best show ever. Too bad it has just as little to do with G4's concept as does Cops.

G4 gets LOST, network execs miss obvious joke

Oct 17th 2007 9:26AM (Joystiq)
Ninja Warrior always reminds me of a video game IRL. Aside from that and maybe (maybe) Star Trek, the rest of the garbage should go. G4's high point was right after it merged with TechTV and it was just a combination of the prior shows from those two channels. Once Screen Savers became Attack of the Show and Kevin Rose and Sarah Lane left... all hell broke lose.

First Brutal Legend video is ... well, it's brutal

Much agreed. Although I think maybe Iron Maiden could fit with this game, no other non-thrash/death/grind really could. The trailer feels like it should've had Raining Blood in the background.

Game Informer gives Mass Effect a 9.75

Oct 16th 2007 11:37AM (Joystiq)
It isn't news that Game Informer gives just about every big name game ever a 9.5+

Joystiq hands-on: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)

Oct 12th 2007 5:31AM (Joystiq)
It's unconventional gaming journalism, that's for sure. This wasn't a bad preview by any means, but sometimes it seems like someone with no experience whatsoever in a series won't be able to get into it as much, and will report on what Smash Bros. itself is, instead of what Brawl does that's new. Kind of like what happened here.

Weekly Webcomic Wrapup: ninja, pirate scenario edition

I really have no clue why I still read these abominations, or why anyone else does, for that matter.

Super Halo Brothers traverse World 1-1

Oct 5th 2007 8:09PM (Joystiq)
This should be on 360fanboy at best. You guys normally use discretion with what you put on the main page and it's usually quite good, but obviously no one liked this. It had about as much in common with 1-1 as Hitler did with Ghandi.
