On the road with the latest Navigon MobileNavigator

Jul 12th 2010 11:21AM (TUAW.com)
I ended up buying the TomTom app a few weeks ago and I honestly have been impressed. It is a lot like my wife's TomTom so I was already familiar with how it worked.

I was really on the fence between Navigon and TomTom -- anyone else who has tried both of the latest updates from either one want to weigh in on this?

Typically if you're laid off your non-compete become null and void because you didn't break agreement, they did.

Any judge and jury in the world wouldn't go after someone breaking their non-compete in this economy.

I agree it is a great game. I bought it a few months ago and it's my go to quickie game when I'm just waiting in line or whatever.

Steve Jobs, the moral high ground, and the return to Apple

It's a pretty much known idea that when Apple bought NeXT - that NeXT more or less took over Apple... So Apple gave them money for them to basically be taken over, good deal Steve.

Report: iPod, iPhone to take over growing handheld gaming

I love my iPhone - I have a crap load of games for it... but I got a DSi a few weeks ago and I'm really enjoying playing games like New Mario Bros, Castlevania, and others... I'm willing to bet that the iPhone with it's lack of buttons will not come close to the experience of playing games like that...

Looking for cheap alternatives to SMS for the iPhone? There's an app for that.

Oct 17th 2009 10:00AM (TUAW.com)
I use a combo of things to get sorta free SMS -- I use GPush $1.99 http://bit.ly/AHlr1 -- and then the GV Mobile app on a Jailbroken iPhone

People send me SMS messages to my GV number, GPush in turn pushes the SMS message to me - I fire up GV Mobile and respond.

I've done a slew of demos with people and it's just nearly as fast as straight up SMS.

That's how I do it, it's a kluge - but I blame Apple for screwing GV users.
