Sony's failure to report data breach incurs CT Senator Blumenthal's wrath

Apr 26th 2011 5:36PM (Joystiq)
This really ticks me off, by the way I never got any kind of e-mail from Sony warning me of the breach. I've had to sign up to credit monitoring now, I hope Sony reimburses me for this. Thankfully it looks like nothing has happened with my credit card so far.

Hydrophobia overhauled in 'Pure' patch, dropping to $10

Awesome. I actually had bought this game, I played it for about an hour and never came back. I think it's great that a developer is actually fixing a game instead of just saying the sequel will be better. Of course making it good in the first place would have been even better. I'll give this another shot.

The Angry Bird developers that are releasing exclusive Android content may tend to disagree.

Silverlight is great, do you have any actual reason for not wanting to install it?

MagicJack announces software for completely free internet-to-phone calls, places femtocell on hold

The problem is that it works like crap. I bought one of these, the quality was terrible and hardly worked. Also the software really feels like you are installing spyware on the computer, I know it's not but it just feels that way. I've switched over to using Skype and a usb to pots adapter and even though there is a monthly fee for Skypeout, at least it works really well.

More of the same is fine with me as well. I just don't know if I can buy this, it's the only game that I seem to get an actual addiction too. I'll be thinking about when I can play next all the time.

That's good, except last time I tried to order something with super saver shipping, a week later it still hadn't shipped. The shipping is really slow.

I use wifi tether on me Verizon Droid and it works fantastic. I can stream really good quality netflix and the Internet is surprisingly fast.

iPad apps: games that stand out

Apr 4th 2010 7:20PM (Engadget)
@p0p0 If you haven't actually played them on the iPad don't comment about Engadget. I've had a DS and PSP since they were launched, and it's a completely different experience playing a game on the iPad. I'm not saying iPad games are more fun or play better, but as far as immersion it's more like playing a console game, the screen is amazing.

Leaf debuts Aptus-II 10R digital camera back with rotating sensor

@who said what This would not be very good at all for my style of wedding photography. A much lower resolution, higher speed with really high iso capability like the Nikon FX sensors are much more practical. Brides typically don't need a billboard size image. As sensors continue to improve the need of medium format may eventually be mostly gone.
