Strobeshnik: probably the most awesome hard drive clock of all time

Mar 7th 2010 11:12PM (Engadget)
@AlienSix It might be hard for the head to crash since it's sitting disconnected below the platter.

Ask Engadget: Best point and shoot camera that does RAW?

Feb 12th 2010 10:40AM (Engadget)
@Josh S By the way the S90 has f2.0 which is really nice at wide angle, and uses the same sensor as the G11 so there isn't much difference in low light performance. They are almost the same camera in a different package. No point and shoot will come close though to even the cheapest DSLR.

@EM1 There is no question, the S90 for portability, the G11 if you don't mind the bigger size. I prefer the S90 myself because if I'm going to go big I'm going to use a dslr.

Whats an RPB?
Wow a review that just gives the review's feelings about the game, how useless.

PS3 Firmware 3.15 becomes mandatory, fixes minor Trophy glitch

Yes, downloading to USB drive on my computer and then installing in my game system is really what I want to do with my game system. I know the updates are huge, what I'm wondering is why.

I get really sick of the constant really long updates. I love the quality of the PS3 hardware, but I sure wish they handled the updates more like the 360.

Project Natal to focus on custom-made 'experiences,' will tolerate conventional games too

@Drybones5 That makes complete sense. The 360 is finally getting stable, and the PS3 is finally getting down in price. So let's make a new generation so all the problems can start over again.

Too bad this isn't on the PS3, it could use some of the SPU's that developers can't seem to figure out how to use anyway.

Leica S2-P unboxed on video, produces sample shots

@(Unverified) Professionals that would be using a camera like this don't worry about dust when changing lenses. You don't have time to worry about it.

Readers pick best webcomic: The Axiom

Dec 27th 2009 12:04PM (Joystiq)
The PA was funny, at the same time it was kind of missing the point. Tony Hawk was saying reviewers went into the game knowing they weren't going to like it, and then gave it bad reviews based on their bias going in. I don't believe that, at the same time reviewers typically don't have to pay for the games they review. So the PA comic was pretty much completely missing the point of Tony Hawks complaint, and I saw his twitter post, he was talking about reviewers.
