@Xcrucio There is room for context. Like showing the symbol the correct way round. Or addng the dots. Or not adding the circle and red background that make it into a nazi symbol. i'm not stupid enough to think that the majority of people on XBL use the swastika for anything other than racist abuse but that doesn't mean we should surrender an icon.
@BlackedOut what's education got to do with it. Outside the U.S. people tend to view the swastika as more than just a Nazi symbol yet the people who make this game (and joystiq) don't understand or care about that. if the symbol had a circle round it and a red background then maybe it'd be understandable. But last time i checked only one country has a ban against the swastika and that's germany (and even there things are changing)
Good to know that Steven Toulouse and Joystiq are such experts in iconography that they can speak for all of us... There are big differences between the way swastikas are presented and used by different groups of people, and lumping them all into the 'nazi' pile is simply ignorant and arrogant. It's not a case of 're-evaluation', because it is used, on this very day, in numerous countries around the world in a completely different context. Just because you don't see them being used in the US doesn't mean they don't exist in the winder world, FFS..
wait, isn't this the same site that posts photo 'reports' on booth babes every time there's a major expo? Make your minds up guys. Either you adhere to the male teenage gaming stereotype, or you act like you're ashamed of it- doing both is a bit confusing.
Both Hans and Harry own huge studios full of composers who they often designate work to, and these composers often create whole soundtracks without any input from the big men themselves. I know for a fact that Harry GW didn't actually write a note for MGS4, it was all done by his composer monkeys in his style. When I talked to him last year he hadn't even played the game himself. That's why they are both so very very rich and are able to 'compose' for so many projects at once.
