I love how some random Internet stranger is able to peer into the hearts of men and tell the true motives of another random Internet stranger. What technology enables you to perform this marvelous feat?
What the hell? You're comparing the comments of someone at an event panel to date rape? Holy shit, have you lost your mind?
There's so much clamor about "sociopaths" in the comments here. Someone makes a terrible statement at a fan fest (for a game most of you don't even play) and you scream for blood. The guy apologizes, you blow it off, and scream for even more blood. And the icing on the cake is a comparison to date rape.
Not interested in a Mass Effect MMO. In fact, I've lost all interest in BioWare games since DA2 was released and was absolutely terrible. SWTOR turned into a huge disappoint for me (and my group of friends)...I don't see the BioWare that released Baldur's Gate 2 ever returning to us.
Those early UO days were truly something special. There was a certain chaotic innocence to the game (and the genre in general) that we'll never experience again.
My avg session is 0 hours. I stopped playing after 27 days. The main storyline is fun and interesting, but everything else was just a boring quest grind. Hit level 35 and I couldn't take it anymore.
"Let's take a story from the oldest book ever, the Bible."
Is this an attempt at trolling, or just an incredible ignorant throwaway comment? It takes 8 seconds to Google "oldest book" and realize the bible isn't even in the top 10...so I'm hoping you're just trolling.
In any case,"leveling" and "endgame" are both horrible mechanics that have really hurt the MMO genre....kill 'em both with fire.
You hit the nail on the head. Nostalgia always pulled me back into the game every once and a while. Now all that's gone and I have no reason to ever resub.
