Wow, even Kia's concepts are starting to emulate Mazda! I just thought it was their production cars!

Brand name is worth alot, and the name "Gameboy" has been synonymous with handheld gaming since it's introduction in 1989. To think Nintendo would just leave all that branding behind is ridiculous. I'm almost certain a new Gameboy will be revealed as their next system to combat the inevitable PSP2. Expect a large widescreen, internal flash hdd, tons of media capabilities, with proprietary cartridge format for games. Essentially a PSP done right.

People seem to forget that Nintendo is a gaming company, all they have for revenue is games. If they want to grow as a company they need more systems and games on store shelves. By opening the market up to more casual gamers with the Wii and DS, they leave themselves plenty of room to cater to the hardcore types with a 3rd pillar. That's where the new Gameboy will fit into their strategy.

I also call a big fat shenanigans on this chart. The systems by themselves do nothing for how many units they sell, it's all about the games. This chart makes predictions into 2010, but all it takes is ONE GTA3 caliber title (great game + insane hype) to be exclusive on any of the systems to push that one system to top spot. If GTA3 were exclusive to xbox this last gen we would have seen xbox and ps2 in a much closer race.

No one can predict which system will get the next big game, but I will say this: we are seeing alot of games being developed for ps3 and 360, with very few exclusive titles for each, whereas the Wii is getting many exclusives due to it's wonky control scheme. With that in mind, which system do you think has the better chance of snagging a killer exclusive that will not be ported to it's rivals?

I'm glad you came out impressed with this title, cause I played the new Sonic for 360 at Digital Life and was wholly underwhelmed.

There was a sign underneath the demo that said 85% complete, but it felt much less than that. There were multiple glitches and a ton of collision detection issues. I watched as the kid in front of me fell through the level multiple times, but was able to "fly" his way back up by spamming Shadow's jumping chaos blast attack.

Totally agree, I made the same point on my site yesterday. Don't worry Sony will eventually add rumble... after we've all bought a couple of controllers without it first.

Yep, looks like a less aggressive Mazda3. Just like the Spectra5 looked like a less aggressive Protege5. That's alright by me though, I like the way Mazda's look and I like the way Kia's are priced so win-win for me. Bring it stateside with a decent engine (not the trashy 2.0L currently used) and you've got a prospective buyer right here.
