I love Mass Effect, but gameplay has never been it's strong point, and they've tried gameplay-focused content before; remember Pinnacle Station? Sticking multiplayer in what people consider to be a singleplayer brand rarely works out well, so I can't even pretend to be optimistic about multiplayer in Mass Effect.
"But characters animate stiffly - they move like solid pieces of plastic, rather than multi-layered beings. "
That's not even a little bit true. The character animation, especially that of the enemies, is better in Rage than in most high-profile, big budget games. Watch the Giant Bomb quick look and see for yourself.
Heavy Rain is filled with massive, flagrant plot holes and other inconsistencies. I don't think the people who fawned over that game would have even cared if they threw in some supernatural bullshit to boost.
I used to be all pissy about GameFly, 's service, too, but I've found out that where you have a game on your queue as well as HOW LONG you've had it there are taken into account when they ship you games. So don't be surprised when you try to game their system and not get what you want.
Even if you're using your queue as they intend and are unsatisfied with the service, let them know. It's hard for them to make the service better if they don't get any feedback, and maybe they can give you some incentive to keep your account.
