Harrison, Roethlisberger Leaving Ravens Woozy

Nov 6th 2007 12:09AM (Fanhouse NFL Blog)
That Pats game was in 2004, JJ. The Steelers lost the 2005 matchup when Randle El foolishly turned the ball over late on a lateral attempt in New England territory.

I guess he made up for that in February.

Nintendo releases Q1 sales results, thinks it's not going away

I'd note that the prediction of 16.5m units shipped is for FY08, from April 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008, and not lifetime to April 2008. They're actually predicting around 22m sold to retail by that time.

1UP: 360 football games to run faster than PS3

Jul 2nd 2007 11:56AM (Joystiq)
I think we need some ground rules: Is this going to be a PS3/360 flame war, or an American/association football flame war?

3: Frank Darabont is finishing up the film version right now. I always liked "The Mist," one of King's stories from when he was actually still trying.

15: It's quite possible that he was forbidden from taking any pcitures. Happens a lot in the early stages of development.

Not to say that I necessarily believe him. I'm torn -this is a stretch, but I have no idea why he'd stake his credibility on something this big if he's not sure of it.

139: Okay, yeah, my last line was uncalled for. But he is very wrong about motion-control being a gimmick. It's no more a gimmick that analog control.

131: Okay, we'll agree to disagree. If you want to pretend that pushing a button is substantively similar to moving your arm, go ahead. I just wonder if you see any difference etween a d-pad and a stick, or a trackball, or a mouse.

And if you want to believe that the principal feature of an interactive medium is not its control method, that's okay too. You're only harming your own appreciation of your hobby.

122: The problem is not that peopkle discuss screenshots. The problem is that they judge games based on screenshots, or graphics. Or they judge systems based on graphical capabilities.

117: This is the first time you've directly responded to me. And you still haven't addressed a single point I've made. You just evade any argument that you aren't equipped to deal with.

108: I really wish I could flash-forward five years from now, when the every next-gen console has motion-control. No doubt you'll be lambasting every hardware manufacturer in creation for buying into a "gimmick." A gimmick that, by the way, actually offers far more precision and immersion that tapping a button or pushing a stick. Yes, sticking your thumb on the triangle button to throw a pass is so much more immersive than actually making a throwing motion.
