That's not a perfect example. You fail to take into account that the US is not the only country with access to torrents and/or illigal copies. Yet it seems to have fared well enough in other countries. Plus, it hasn't yet affected the quality of anything.

Also, not fair to bash on 3d films. Wall-e is art, whether you like it or not.

What i don't understand is, why keep bothering with US audiences? Or why would they rely on US audiences to avoid sinking? Do all their films need to be shown in theathers? Even Earthsea, wich is... let's say, not good.

In my case, the problem lies heavily in localization. Now, i know Ponyo for example, is aimed at kids. It's not exclusive to kids, but that's the films main audience. Problem is, i can't for the life of me, enjoy a dubbed work. I would enjoy a subbed alternative, but i know i'm not getting it. So it all falls back to dvds, wich i don't really know how well that fared.

I'm afraid this trailer spoiled me the best scene the movie has to offer.

is not a problem per se. The movie did nothing wrong. The problem lays with the people.

Then again she's not a superhero. She's a freaking ninja. Much like Kill Bill or Lady snowblood, "superpowers" don't exist. It's like saying Die hard 4 is a superhero movie. Is it?

The solution is... get everyone to learn German so they won't be able to have fun with the dialogue.
