Sony America scraps UMD-to-PSP Go conversion plans

Sep 25th 2009 4:07PM (Joystiq)
Well this pretty much is a big NO for me now. I was looking forward to the PSP-Go, but if I can't use my media, forget it. I'll stick with the DS.

Microsoft kicks out $50 rebate for $299 Xbox 360 Elite

Sep 22nd 2009 4:05PM (Engadget)
I love video games. Pure and simple. I have a PS3 and a Wii. An XBox360 would complete my trifecta. Does anyone have any recent failure rate data on the latest batch of Xbox360s?

Sony shows off PS3 facial recognition tech

Dude...it's a TECH DEMO. I'm sure it's not the final product and I think it's DARN GOOD! Let's see you code something better, huh?

PS3 install base up to nearly 24 million

Aug 4th 2009 1:24PM (Joystiq)
I still say my PS3 is WELL worth the cost and I was an early adopter. People who have phones that are more expensive than the PS3 need to STFU and eat ramen so they can afford a PS3. You want something for nothing and that only happens with the government.

I'm going to wait for the PSPGo and get a digital copy. Free me from UMD, Sony!

PlayStation motion controller accuracy 'scarily good'

Jul 21st 2009 11:06AM (Joystiq)
Why are people so down on a product that isn't even out yet? From the E3 videos, I actually am really interested in this new controller. The gaming industry is all about competition. And if you think about it, this may open up the possibility for cross-system games that utilize similar types of input. Natal and these wands could allow developers to develop for BOTH. I don't really see these as competing technologies rather than being good for us, the gamers. We all know how much $$ it costs to develop good games.

$150 is my magic pricepoint.

Sony: 'We are on track' with PS3 sales

Jan 30th 2009 12:02PM (Joystiq)
@bigpurps, I do have to agree. With the economy as it is, Sony's 10 year plan seems to be the strongest. I mean, there are STILL good PS2 games coming out (and that's where the RPGs apparently are still landing). Wii will have to update/upgrade its hardware at some point and so will the 360. Especially with its still existing (I believe, but correct me if'n I'm wrong!) hardware issues.

I have a Wii...I am just surprised with the number quality of games out there...that it sells so well.
