Most forum posts I seen about this game have been positive and well received so I'm guessing the whole idea of EDF went over the reviewers head.

IMO EDF takes me back to when games where about simple gameplay and silly fun that you can just pick up and start playing. Games these days take themselves a bit too seriously that they start to feel more like your watching a blockbuster movie then playing a games. Taking EDF seriously is like watching an old Godzilla flick and expecting a high budget triple A movie instead of just a fun monster movie with a hilarious English translation.

I also think that "modern" games have too many pointless puzzle and platform elements just to artificially extend the games playtime.EDF does not need other gameplay elements to brake up the shooting parts because the core gameplay itself is already fun. Imagine if someone criticized Super Mario Bros. for being nothing more then "Jump, jump, jump, end". As long as the core gameplay is fun who cares how often your doing said action.

Its cool it see a big site like Joystiq cover fighting game events. I think its really awesome of the fighting game community to make a tournament to help raise funds for Japan's relief. We need more of these type of charity events in all gaming communities.

I really like the AR stuff in Eye of Judgement, I wish they would make an EOJ2 for the PS3.

I don't usually mind stuff being a timed exclusive, but two whole months for an arcade title? really now?? Most people will be done with this game in a week.

Maybe this is Konami's way to say FU to all the people who game share on PS3.

That sucks for anyone who got the 4gb slim, you would think they would make it fully compatible with their biggest game of the year. Even people who have the flimsy old 20gb hard drive can play Halo Co-Op.

Glad I let my gold membership run out. will be getting online games for PS3 only from now on.

I don't think cole redesign looked bad. its just that he looked younger then the cole from the fist game, witch didn't make much sense. It would made more sense if the game was a prequel of some sort.
