you are aware that digital sales through Origin aren't tracked correct? I'm sure you're also aware of the growing trend of digital download games through Steam and Origin both of which are not tracked via NPD numbers probably made up 90% of the sales.

What type of draconian system is in place if you ban someone for speculation. Following your train of thought you could say MW3 will sell 50,0000 million copies. Now following your logic I could ban you from the forums when its revealed it sold 50,0001 copies. Because by your argument I was in the right and you where in the wrong.

wait, he posts what is his opinion on a service and he gets banned. Joystiq runs an article three days ago called Modern Warfare 3 vs Battlefield 3 obviously it appears the site is okay with fans voicing their opinion on which game and services they favor, obviously this brings in traffic. However when it bad mouths a game/service the author obviously favors the poster is banned? How come I never see mods over in the Battlefield stories banning the kids that come in with "OMG MW3 IS SO MUCH BETTER HAXXORZ U MAD BRO" comments.

I would also like to point out that Battlefield 3 is available across three platforms. So sighting xbox360 numbers is irrelevant because the system has always been the "home" of the call of duty series. If you want to quote the number of players then please include the PS3 and PC counts as well. It is a well known fact that the PC is the "home" of the Battlefield series.

I would be making this same statement if this was a Battlefield 3 thread that stated Battlefield 3 was out performing on the PC vs the consoles. People online are too quick to accuse someone of being a troll for disagreeing with them. Its called life, you put out a story or opinion online for thousands to see,not everyone is going to agree with you. Welcome to the big boy world.

Call of Duty probably has 5X map packs that cost 15.00 each.

Bad Company 2, Battlefields little brother, performed better than MW2.

I'm kind of glad that MW3 is coming out at the same time, it means less of the 12 year olds in my Battlefield 3. Though there is nothing more hilarious than watching some 12 year old come over to the Battlefield series and try to quick scope me. Makes for really easy drill and defibrillator kills.

you have any proof of any of those accusations?

1. they delivered the game by the stipulated ship time.
2. they knew Activision was looking to get rid of them, they where simply looking for new employment before they left/ fired from their current job. Nothing illegal here, unethical.....maybe, not illegal.
3. they where friends with those people and they where jokingly talking in private emails, outside of work. Nothing illegal here, unless you want me to get a court order for your email address and make assumptions of you based on them you have nothing to argue about.

Activision still owes the people there money from Modern Warfare 2, they claim poverty whenever someone asks them to pay what they are owed. In the next news release they are spouting they have sooooooo much money.

Activision signed a contract that stipulated West and Zampella own the rights to Call of Duty and to any Call of Duty set prior to the Vietnam era. Hmmmmm what game is coming out in November? When is it set?
Oh yeah Modern Warfare 3 - prior to Vietnam....with characters created by West and Zampella.

What we wish is for Call of Duty to
- stop offering map packs every 2 months at the tune of 15.00
- stop trying to sell elite services that others offer for free
- stop putting out the same game every year
- learn what an actual expansion pack is ( see Battlefield BC2 Vietnam - new weapons, new story, new levels, new experience all for 10.00)


I personally will be glad when Call of Duty goes the way of Guitar Hero and is milked to death. I'm sure I'll be down voted because all the 12 year olds are out of school for the summer and OMG "hez bad mouthing mah cawwwwwwooooduhty! "

- Sorry Activision as a PS3 player I guess there is no incentive for me to fork over money for this service now.....all the service is anyways is a way to get the 45.00 from people for the map packs up front now anyways.

fast forward 6 months after MW3 comes out, I can see the headlines.....

"Activision: We don't understand why we only have 2% of PS3 players as Elite Members" - soon followed by a "sale" on elite memberships for people on the PS3

Activision and other game companies need to learn console favoritism in this day and age is the most horrible business practice ever. All you do is ostracize people who may be potential customers and make them not want to do business with you anymore.
