Netflix NXE activation seems to be down for some [updated]

Nov 19th 2008 10:25AM (Joystiq)
Just keep trying and it will hopefully work. I had the same issue, but was finally able to get through after just a few attempts. I simply clicked on the generate new code option in the NXE each time, then waited a few seconds, and entered in to the netflix website and it worked on the 10th try or so.

DigiPen student games released

Apr 27th 2007 4:23PM (Joystiq)
we dont recieve any sort of sponsorship or subsidy from nintendo, we are related to nintendo through link of the school's president who was also on nintendo's board of directors until quite recently and was one of the founders of NST, nintendo's US game dev division.

and yeah, we're in washington because there are a number of game companies here, the founder of the school originally started in canada and has ties with nintendo, who happens to also be our next door neightbor. :)

An explanation for random MacBook shutdowns?

Sep 7th 2006 5:50PM (TUAW.com)
well guys... after messing with my own macbook and its random shutdown issues i have to say, at least in my case, it doesnt have anything to do with heat. i actually have an annoying yet effective workaround which implies a software related issue over a hardware one. heres how i deal with it.

i power on the macbook, it will run for a few minutes and then shut down. then i press and hold the power button until the sleep light begins to flash quickly and release the power button. this holding down the button is the same process you use to update the firmware btw. after i do that, it will stay on just fine, even through restarts, until i completely shut it down again. i mean, i left it on for 6 days just to see, and no problem. however, it doesnt work unless i let it shut itself off once. i can't simply press and hold the button until the sleep light flashes every time, i have to do it everyother time... otherwise it simply shuts down. a note to anyone that is wondering, i did try the process where you remove the battery and hold the power button for 5 seconds. that didnt work for me. the process i described above is the only way i've been able to successfully get it to stay on. i did, however, just send it in to apple last week, so hopefully they get it dealt with soon.
