Eco-Box: a greener way to protect games

You know Charlie, farts are bad for the environment too. Telling me I need an eco-friendly ass. Small changed add up, do ho ho *fartz*

Assassin's Creed 2 getting double dose of DLC starting January 2010

Depends on the price for DLC and time at which it was made. I think it's reasonable to be upset when the game just comes out and already there is DLC that will drop with a price tag within the month. Something like that indicates it was almost ready for launch, and could have just been included into the full game.

There is no real point to constant whining about it though, most of the time the DLC is still reasonably priced, although some companies go overboard.

Eco-Box: a greener way to protect games

I just like how Blu-Ray boxes look in general. In fact they're smaller to the point where they probably reduce the same level of plastic as these (now) cheaper 360 cases. Or at least close enough.

Honestly for the price I pay for games, I don't want a box that feels like a cheap piece of enviro-friendly crap. I didn't like it when I bought Taken for 20 bucks, I sure as hell don't like it when I pay 60 for Modern Warfare 2.

'Pro plantiff' Erik Estavillo subpoenas Bill Gates in RROD suit

The red rings are due to a soldering issue, in which the metal joints were secured at too low of a temperature. Microsoft would rather fix the problem in-box than send you a new unit, understandable considering how much more it would cost.

The bannings were a result of people modding their consoles to play pirated games. There is no real reason why they chose the time that they did. The theory is that they wanted to make money off people renewing subscriptions before MW2 and after ODST. The flaw in this argument is that sales for Live wouldn't make up for the amount of games stolen in the long run. Regardless of if they "stole" live subscriptions, the users banned deserved to be banned.

Hope that explains it. vOv

This ain't the Hardy Boys or a Nancy Drew mystery, it's just Keenan and Kel in your vicinity.

So long, 2500 Modern Warfare 2 Steam cheaters

I agree that the guy is an asshole for cheating, but it still really isn't fair to elimenate a full library of games. It's not like he stole them, hacked someone's account, or cause some huge malfunction that ruined the game enough to warrent a banning that large.

Of course I don't think the story is as simple as "this one dude only cheated once ever and it was really small and they took ALL HIS GAMEZ!" They probably had a good reason.

Seriously I like how Anthony didn't really say anything bad or grossly false, but here we are with the floodgates opening for more pointless PC vs Console bickering.
