I second a vote for Robocop 3 for the SNES. I've owned it since it came out and I've never made it to the second level! I'm pretty sure there isn't EVEN a second level.

I have a hard time feeling sympathetic for Dyack, a lot of the stuff being said about the game is because of false promises he made himself. But that's Dyack's nature. I've met him on a few occasions (we live in the same city) and his manner is way too cocky. One time I talked to him just after the split with Nintendo and he was speaking like a fifteen year old kid who just broke up with his girlfriend, saying stuff like "they're not going anywhere" and "the Wii is a waste of time, they're not being serious." He bashes Sony for no good reason, and acts as though his title will put the nail in the coffins of the other systems. I will say this for him though, he's proud of what he does and is a great supporter of the local community, it's just when he's talking about his game that his panicked enthusiasm worries people.

Retailers (at least here in Canada) have got promo kits with the helmet already. They're individually marked, ours is in the 200,000s...I'd guess they're limiting it at either 500,000 or 1 million.

It's legit. They're in the Canadian EB Games magazines for this month. I can't wait to get my hands on that case, if anything.

I just experienced #2 last night...I was working with my 300gb external HD and the cat tugged it off the desk, now my Macbook won't recognize it and Windows will find it in the Device Manager but nothing else. Anyone know if a professional recover is possible or are my old files (nostalgic photos, letters, writing....stuff I was transferring from a dead PC to the Macbook) pretty much gone?

So people will pay money to complain about a service in a video game store? That's awesome. As someone who works at EB, I admit we do push the preorders. Of course we do. We don't have our jobs banking on the sales of them, generally we push them for two reasons: To get head office to shut up about numbers, and to prevent the customer from coming in on December 23rd and bitching about us having no copies of Halo 3 or whatever. I don't see what's so difficult or awful about preordering: you guarantee a copy on the launch, you sometimes get bonus stuff, and if you decide against it, you can get your money back. Oh no, that's awful.

And also, if the people are dicks at your local store, go to a different one. Man, seriously.

Traded a level 4 Magikarp for a level 20 Cranidos. Wicked. Sure, I can't say the thing's name, but whatever. Metal.

I found an NES Power Pad (I think that's what the mat was called) and a copy of Track and Field, got the pair for $0.50CDN. That was pretty awesome.
